How to Save Money on Christmas - Deals, Savings, Specials, Cheap Gifts

The best way to save money during Christmas is to not spend money. Unfortunately, that is inevitable. So if you have to spend money, why not spend as little as possible? This blog was not created on how to get items for free, but where to shop for deals and discounts. This blog was mainly created because I only have a part-time job living in California and my goal has been to find ways to save money over Christmas. I look for deals year-round but below is a list of what I have purchased or what I recommend for Christmas. Keep in mind that most deals go fast just because they are either temporary deals or Black Friday specials. The first one that I'm about to talk about is an example of that.

Jace has been talking about a scooter for the past few months. Well, I finally found one for a great deal! On Instagram, I follow @ilikedeals_net and they shared a scooter on Amazon for $18 which is a price drop from $30! I purchased it two days ago and went on today and it is unavailable so you do have to hop on these deals QUICK! If you add @ilikedeals_net on Instagram, they are constantly posting deals! I don't always win the auctions but when I do, I just have an invoice sent to me and the items are sent in a reasonable time frame. I've never had an issue with shipping, paying, or ordering. I found the recipe (above) and adjusted the recipe to my taste. I did adjust some measurements and made some recommendations. Here is what I did for my Easy Potato Soup. Ingredients: 1 30oz. bag of frozen diced hashbrowns 1 32 oz. box of chicken broth 1 22 oz. can of cream of chicken soup 3 oz. of bacon bits 1 8oz package of cream cheese cheddar cheese (to sprinkle on top) pepper Turn crockpot on to low and add hashbrowns. Add box of chicken broth. Add cream of chicken soup (the original recipe called for 10oz of cream of chicken soup but I used a 22oz can and thought it tasted amazing!) Book Review and Summary - Prince Harry - "Spare"

I may be one of the few, but I was intrigued by Prince Harrys' story, which prompted me to pick up his book "Spare." I have to say, as I first started reading, I couldn't put it down, I think I read 50+ pages the first day. I was aware of Prince Harry but knew very little about his life. I remember negative things in the news, all of the negative stories of him. He sounded to me like the "troubled" brother, and, unfortunately, he and everyone else believed he was. I also now understand the meaning behind the book title. The name "Spare" is a name that is described as the one that isn't important. Think of a spare tire, you are kind of pushed to the side until you are needed. As Prince Harry said, his brother was the "Heir" and he was the "Spare" and it was very unfortunate events throughout  the book that describe how and why he felt like this. 10 Ways to Make Parenting a Middle Schooler a Little Bit Easier

My cousin and I were spending some time together a few days ago and she asked about Jace and how he was doing in school. After a few minutes, she suggested that I blog about it. Initially, I wasn't too keen on the idea, but after doing some research, I realized that parenting a middle schooler can be tough for a lot of parents (I got lucky and he is probably one of the easiest ones) at times so I decided to write down what I do to make our days better. Having a middle schooler is so different than having a child in elementary, to me. Here are 10 things that I/we have done that has really made our days easier and better together.  1. Be consistent - every morning I ask my son how he slept and when he comes home, I ask him how his day was.
