Easy Baked Chicken Breast

Image
I have been meaning to write this blog for a few days now but, you know, life happens. I have been working hard, trying to find a job, applying, and working on tumblers. I wish I could work on glitter tumblers full-time because I love being creative and I absolutely love making them. If you haven't seen what I have done so far, you can visit www.etsy.com/shop/AbbiesShop . Most of my tumblers lately have been custom tumblers but I also have a lot that are pre-made and ready to ship.  Anyways, on Monday I made this easy Baked Chicken Breast recipe. Initially, I didn't think it was super great but Kevin loved it and Jace liked it. We combined it with mashed potatoes, gravy, and Hawaiian sweet rolls which made it SO much better! The original recipe is from Gimme Some Oven HERE . Since we are on a lower sodium diet, I didn't add salt in this recipe.  Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in half to make them thinner 1 tbsp olive oil 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp garlic

Ground Turkey Chili Recipe

Image
Does anyone think that Ground Turkey is rather....blah? It seems like the only good Ground Turkey recipes out there are in Chili. So last night I made a delicious chili recipe. With the weather getting cooler (to us, 80's and 90's is cooler than the 107 consistent weather the past four months!) this recipe is so perfect because it is a crockpot recipe. It took about five hours on high in the crockpot and we served ours with shredded cheese and saltine crackers. The kidney beans were low sodium and ground turkey is definitely a better option than ground beef.  After going through my other Ground Turkey Chili blogs, I realized I have made so many already. This one is still different than all of the others I have shared but wanted to still share them below: Easy Keto No Bean Turkey Chili Turkey Chili with Beans in the Crockpot Easy Crockpot Turkey Chili Slow Cooker Turkey White Bean Chili Slow Cooker Turkey and Ground Beef Chili Ground Turkey Chili Mac Now to the recipe! Christmas Gift Ideas 2021 - Gift Guide 2021

Image
When I turned 20 years old I started working at a place called Progrexion Marketing. I was there for 6.5 years working a commission-only job. What does this have to do with Christmas ideas? My very first Christmas working there I went through a really hard time. I was doing great with sales and then all of the sudden, December hit. In the month of December no one wanted to spend money because everyone was saving for Christmas. I have to say it was probably one of the worst Christmas' I have had because I didn't have a lot of money to spend on gifts. Ever since then, I have started shopping earlier in the year. Even with COVID last year, I was purchasing gifts before COVID hit so I was able to have gifts for my family with only working 15 hours a week.  Below is a list of things that I have found to assist with Christmas gift ideas. I know it's only September but, like I said, I start buying pretty early now. I will be sharing and posting as I find deals so this will be upda

Creamy Beef Pasta

Image
If you are looking for a healthy recipe, unfortunately this is not it. Although we eat fairly healthy during the week, we sometimes splurge a little bit on the weekends (usually once a week). This recipe can be found HERE and let me tell you, this recipe was AMAZING. It did take a little while to make but it was so worth the wait. I made this recipe for Kevin + I and we had plenty leftover. I used vegetable oil instead of olive oil, onion powder instead of onion, less ground beef than the original recipe, Italian Seasoning instead of individual seasonings, less tomato sauce, and less Rotini pasta. Overall, I would rate this a 10/10 and it serves well with garlic bread. Ingredients: 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tbsp onion powder 1.5 pounds ground beef 3 tbsp garlic powder 2 tsp Italian Seasoning 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper 1/4 cup flour 1 24oz can tomato sauce 1 cup beef broth 8oz Rotini pasta 1 cup milk 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded Directions: In a large frying pan, add the v

Flank Steak Recipe

Image
A few nights ago I made this amazing Flank Steak with corn on the cob and green beans - all of which will be explained in this blog today :) I am hoping to create two blogs today for you guys but, let me tell you, I have been working so hard on custom tumblers these past few days so it's been hard to make time to just sit down and relax! I have made a lot of new tumblers lately so I wanted to share those before posting and sharing the recipe.  Find all of these and others using my website + social media below: Etsy shop:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/AbbiesShop  Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/tiredasamothertumbler/ Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/TiredasaMotherTumbler Now, on to the recipe! The Flank Steak was actually super easy to make. I just purchased a Flank Steak from the store and did not season it. I set the oven to 450 degrees and got out a cast iron skillet. I sprayed the cast iron skillet with PAM cooking spray and
