Easy Sloppy Joe's with a Secret Ingredient

Image
Last night I made the most delicious Sloppy Joe's I have ever made. I made them on the stovetop and used a secret ingredient because I did not have Onion Powder. Keep reading to see what it is. The original recipe was an Instant Pot recipe HERE but I decided to do stovetop instead. The original recipe called for 3 pounds of ground beef and I only used 1.5 pounds. I used about 3/4 of the sauce and saved the rest for later.  My version is below.  Ingredients: 1.5 pounds ground beef 1 pack dry onion powder mix (this is the secret ingredient and it worked wonderfully!) Cracked pepper, as much as you would like 1.5 tbsp garlic powder 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp mustard 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp Thyme 2 cups ketchup 1 cup chili sauce 1 cup water Directions: In a large pan on the stove, cook the ground beef, dry onion powder mix and some cracked pepper. Cook until browned.  Drain. In a bowl, mix together all of the other ingredients and pour on top of the ground beef.  Add more cracked pepp

Super Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken

Image
Last night I made the easiest Sweet and Sour Chicken for dinner. I used the recipe from HERE when it came to cooking the chicken. I then used a Sweet and Sour sauce for the sauce. Super easy! Full recipe below ⬇️⬇️ Ingredients: 1.25 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces 3 tbsp cornstarch Salt and pepper, to taste 4 tbsp olive oil 2 green onions, sliced into thin rounds 2 tbsp sesame seeds Your favorite sweet and sour sauce Directions: Add the chicken, cornstarch, salt and pepper to a large ziplock bag and shake to coat evenly. Add 4 tbsp olive oil to a large skillet and cook the chicken over medium heat until all the way cooked through.  Mine was partially frozen so it took about 15-20 minutes. After it's cooked through, add the sauce and stir to coat evenly.  Cook in sauce for a few minutes and then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with white rice and noodles. Enjoy!

Tri-Tip Chuck Roast with Potatoes and Carrots

Image
For those who don't know, I went out to Utah last weekend for about a week so my wonderful sister served me dinner every night and I didn't have to cook which explains the gap in blog posts :) I have been back for four days and have prepared a week of meals so hopefully you will be seeing more recipes from me :)  The original recipe that I used for the roast can be found from AllRecipes HERE . This tri-tip roast that I used (half off at Smart and Final!) was covered in this amazing roast and gravy recipe. If you love a good gravy, this recipe is for you. I also added potatoes and carrots a few hours before it was to be done. Full recipe below! Ingredients: 3.5 pounds tri-tip chuck roast (or any chuck roast) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can beef gravy 1/2 cup brown sugar 1oz pack of dry onion soup mix 2 tbsp distilled white vinegar 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Directions: Place chuck roast in the crockpot. Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers

Image
Last week I made these Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers and they were surprisingly good and filling even for dinner! They were super easy to make and could even be perfect for Superbowl or a sports gathering! The full and original recipe can be found HERE . I wasn't sure how ground chicken would be but it was more like a meatball with cheese in the middle and bacon wrapped around it. Very, very good! Let me know your thoughts below! Ingredients: 1 pound ground chicken 6 bacon strips, uncooked 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 egg 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese 2 cheddar cheese slices, torn into pieces to stuff inside the poppers 3 tbsp ranch dip seasoning Directions: In a bowl, mix together ground chicken, egg, bread crumbs, mozzarella cheese, and ranch seasoning until combined. Shape into balls. I made 7. Press the cheese slices into the center and form into a meatball so the cheese is in the middle. Wrap bacon around each meatball. Preheat Air Fryer to 350 deg

How to Make a Spinach and Artichoke Ravioli Bake

Image
Do you ever have those days where you are just purely exhausted? That was me yesterday. Not just physically exhausted from doing HIIT twice a week and working and homeschooling but just emotionally drained. I have only been getting about 6.5 hours of sleep a night (no fault but my own) the past few nights and just want to stay in bed and watch movies. Could this also be that I just had a 4-day weekend? Who knows LOL. Anywayssssss....last night I made this Spinach and Artichoke Ravioli Bake from Delish . I have never used canned artichoke hearts so I wasn't too sure what to expect. They were pretty easy to chop up and tasted amazing. I'm so glad I made this - it's been on my list FOREVER - but I finally got around to it. If you make it, let me know in the comments below! Ingredients: 3 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp minced garlic 3 Tbsp flour 2 cups milk 2 Tbsp cream cheese 1 cup shredded mozzarella/Italian mix cheese 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 1 can artichoke hearts, chopped

Garlic Chicken Herb White Pizza

Image
Last night Jace and I made this Garlic Chicken Herb White Pizza and it turned out really well. We ended up making two smaller pizzas and 1.5 pound pizza dough instead of 1 pound. I have been looking for pizza dough so I could make this recipe the past few weeks. I haven't been able to find it so I finally asked a really nice cashier at the market and she found some in the frozen section - three 1 lb dough that you can use for pizza, cinnamon rolls, etc and I thawed it out the night before and followed the directions in this recipe and it was super easy. Jace helped to roll out the dough and it was easier than I thought, just a little messy ;) The original recipe can be found HERE . Ingredients: 1.5 pounds pizza dough (divided in half for each pizza) 1 tbsp butter 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp flour 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup half and half 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 1 1/2 cup boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded (although I used way less than thi
