Crockpot Pizza Bake with Lots of Cheese

I feel like I am so behind with the blog posts and my days are just going past me like crazy. A few nights ago we made this Crockpot Pizza Bake. Although the Original Recipe HERE called for rigatoni, penne, or ziti pasta, we used shells and you can really use any pasta. As always, we added extra cheese. Although it took awhile to prepare, once it was in the crockpot, it was super easy from there.

Ingredients:
8oz box of shells (or any short pasta)
1 pound italian sausage, ground
1/2 pound ground beef
8oz package of sliced pepperoni
onion powder, to taste
48oz pizza sauce
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
garlic powder, to taste
16oz shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 7 minutes. Drain and set aside. While the pasta is boiling, cook the italian sausage and ground beef together in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. While that is cooking, layer the pepperoni slices between a couple paper towels and place in the microwave for 15 seconds. In a very large bowl, mix together the pasta, italian sausage, ground beef, pepperoni, onion powder, pizza sauce, italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Coat the slow cooker with non-stick spray. Layer the pasta in the slow cooker followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese, alternating three times, ending with the cheese on top. Cover and cook on low for 3.5 hours. Serve with cheesy bread or breadsticks. Enjoy!
