Garlic Chicken Herb White Pizza

Last night Jace and I made this Garlic Chicken Herb White Pizza and it turned out really well. We ended up making two smaller pizzas and 1.5 pound pizza dough instead of 1 pound. I have been looking for pizza dough so I could make this recipe the past few weeks. I haven't been able to find it so I finally asked a really nice cashier at the market and she found some in the frozen section - three 1 lb dough that you can use for pizza, cinnamon rolls, etc and I thawed it out the night before and followed the directions in this recipe and it was super easy.

Jace helped to roll out the dough and it was easier than I thought, just a little messy ;) The original recipe can be found HERE.

Ingredients:
1.5 pounds pizza dough (divided in half for each pizza)
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup half and half
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cup boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded (although I used way less than this)
2 tbsp onion powder
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 tsp basil, to top
1/2 tsp dried oregano, to top

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet and spray with PAM or cooking spray. Set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and add garlic powder. Stir. Add flour and mix. Slowly whisk in the milk and half and half as well as the pepper. Cook for 1 minute or until it thickens and remove from heat. Stir in Parmesan Cheese and 3/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese. It should be a thicker sauce.

Spread dough out using a rolling pin and place on a baking sheet.

One of ours turned into a circle and the other was more like a flatbread which was fine! Spread sauce over the dough followed by the chicken, onion powder, remainder of Mozzarella Cheese and top with basil and oregano. Bake for 17 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. Cut and serve immediately. Serve with ranch dressing and enjoy!
