How to Make Shredded Chicken with Bacon Gravy in the Crockpot

Yesterday was such a busy day that all I wanted to make for dinner was just a simple crockpot meal. We found this Slow Cooker Chicken with Bacon Gravy recipe from The Magical Slow Cooker and it was amazing! It was super easy to make and even more delicious over white rice and mashed potatoes! Instead of the minced garlic, we used garlic powder. I also used two pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts instead of 1.5. If you try this recipe, let me know in the comments below!

Ingredients:
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp dried thyme
6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
2 packets of .87oz chicken gravy mix packets
1 1/4 cup water
2/3 cup heavy cream for the end

Directions:
Cook six pieces of bacon on the stove and then cut into pieces. Add chicken to the slow cooker. Sprinkle pepper, thyme, garlic powder and bacon over the chicken.

In a small bowl, mix together the gravy mix packets and 1 1/4 cup water until smooth. Pour over chicken.

Cook on high for 3.5 hours. Add the heavy cream. Shred the chicken and stir.

Serve over white rice and mashed potatoes.
