Christmas ideas, gifts, deals 2020

The past two years I have been putting together a blog post of deals, ideas, and gifts for Christmas. Especially with COVID-19 happening this year, our budget is super tight so I try and look for deals and I usually purchase Christmas gifts months ahead. My past blogs haven't been shared until later in the year and closer to Christmas so I decided to put one together earlier so I can share when deals pop up. Also, it's July and "Christmas in July" is a thing :)

I follow a group on Facebook called JFS - Deals And Discounts and there are always great deals on there. He mainly posts items that are on Amazon but here is what I was able to find:

I found the recipe (above) and adjusted the recipe to my taste. I did adjust some measurements and made some recommendations. Here is what I did for my Easy Potato Soup. Ingredients: 1 30oz. bag of frozen diced hashbrowns 1 32 oz. box of chicken broth 1 22 oz. can of cream of chicken soup 3 oz. of bacon bits 1 8oz package of cream cheese cheddar cheese (to sprinkle on top) pepper Turn crockpot on to low and add hashbrowns. Book Review and Summary - Prince Harry - "Spare"

I may be one of the few, but I was intrigued by Prince Harrys' story, which prompted me to pick up his book "Spare." I have to say, as I first started reading, I couldn't put it down, I think I read 50+ pages the first day. I was aware of Prince Harry but knew very little about his life. I remember negative things in the news, all of the negative stories of him. He sounded to me like the "troubled" brother, and, unfortunately, he and everyone else believed he was. I also now understand the meaning behind the book title. The name "Spare" is a name that is described as the one that isn't important. Think of a spare tire, you are kind of pushed to the side until you are needed. As Prince Harry said, his brother was the "Heir" and he was the "Spare" and it was very unfortunate events throughout  the book that describe how and why he felt like this. 10 Ways to Make Parenting a Middle Schooler a Little Bit Easier

My cousin and I were spending some time together a few days ago and she asked about Jace and how he was doing in school. After a few minutes, she suggested that I blog about it. Initially, I wasn't too keen on the idea, but after doing some research, I realized that parenting a middle schooler can be tough for a lot of parents (I got lucky and he is probably one of the easiest ones) at times so I decided to write down what I do to make our days better. Having a middle schooler is so different than having a child in elementary, to me. Here are 10 things that I/we have done that has really made our days easier and better together.  1. Be consistent - every morning I ask my son how he slept and when he comes home, I ask him how his day was.
