Meatball Casserole Subs

**Warning: These are SUPER messy but SUPER delicious**

Yesterday I made this Meatball Casserole and turned it into Subs and it was a HIT you guys! They turned out amazing. So I used the Meatball Casserole recipe from Joy Filled Eats and we made it our own and then turned the bake into subs. The recipe calls for Ground Turkey and Italian Sausage but we couldn't find any nearby so we just used Ground Beef. We also used more marinara sauce and instead of dried minced onion and garlic we used onion and garlic powder. We also eliminated the zucchini. See our version below. We also had plenty of leftovers that we will be eating later this week. Let me know if you make this recipe and what you think in the comments below!

Ingredients:
1.5lb ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/3 cup shredded parmesan
1 egg
2tsp onion powder
2tsp garlic powder
2tsp dried basil
1tsp salt
32oz marinara sauce
8oz shredded cheese for the top (I did 4oz cheddar cheese and 4 more oz of mozzarella)
Sausage/Hoagie rolls

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking sheet/casserole dish with PAM or cooking spray. Combine all of the ingredients except the 32oz marinara sauce and 8oz shredded cheese.

Mix thoroughly and make about 24 meatballs - about the size of golf balls. Place in the casserole dish.

Bake for about 30 minutes, drain the cooking liquid. I then moved the meatballs altogether to one side and then added the marinara sauce and 8oz shredded cheese on top and baked for 15 more minutes.

With 10 minutes left, separate the hoagie rolls and place the rolls on the baking sheet and cook for about 5-10 minutes.

When time is up, place 3-5 meatballs with marinara sauce on each half of a roll, fold over and enjoy!
