Creamy Beef Pasta

If you are looking for a healthy recipe, unfortunately this is not it. Although we eat fairly healthy during the week, we sometimes splurge a little bit on the weekends (usually once a week). This recipe can be found HERE and let me tell you, this recipe was AMAZING. It did take a little while to make but it was so worth the wait. I made this recipe for Kevin + I and we had plenty leftover. I used vegetable oil instead of olive oil, onion powder instead of onion, less ground beef than the original recipe, Italian Seasoning instead of individual seasonings, less tomato sauce, and less Rotini pasta. Overall, I would rate this a 10/10 and it serves well with garlic bread.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp onion powder
1.5 pounds ground beef
3 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 cup flour
1 24oz can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
8oz Rotini pasta
1 cup milk
1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:
In a large frying pan, add the vegetable oil and cook over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the onion powder, garlic powder and ground beef and cook until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain vegetable oil. Add Italian Seasoning, salt, red pepper and flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly to coat.

Add the tomato sauce and beef broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

While sauce is simmering, boil Rotini according to pasta directions and drain. Add the cream and pasta to the sauce, stirring to combine. Add the cheese and stir. Top with parsley or pepper and serve with garlic bread.
